Also known as butterfly or arrowhead plant Syngonium podophyllum 'Pixie' is all the rage at the moment and no wonder with those amazing almost reptilian markings.
Native to the South American rainforests its leaves change shape as they age into five lobes.
Syngonium Pixie prefers medium to bright indirect light but will do ok in lower light. They don't like direct sunlight.
It's fairly undemanding when it comes to watering, let the top two inches dry out before watering but don't let the soil dry completely.
It will grow happily without extra warmth and humidity but to really thrive give it both. Ideal for a steamy bathroom or kitchen or you could place a container of moistened pebbles under the pot.
A compact plant it grows to a maximum height of 40cms. Current height about 25cms x 25cms wide. Eventual height up to 70cms.
It is vining in nature but can be pruned to retain its shape.
Comes in a ceramic pot of your choice with a detailed handmade care label.
